What is 3D Interconnect?
In 2017, a little-known but incredibly handy tool was released with the SOLIDWORKS update: 3D Interconnect. This helpful addition is the perfect way to bridge the gap and allow different teams or even companies to work together.
About This On-Demand Webinar
In this webinar, TriMech Elite Application Engineers John Hall and Stephen Petrock, provide you with an introduction into 3D Interconnect. This tool is the missing link that allows you to easily work with nonnative CAD files inside of SOLIDWORKS. They will teach you how a quick drag and drop movement can plop in the 3D geometry, bypassing any conversions, without breaking links to the original file. This means being cued in to file changes and updates easily, so you know your designs are staying accurate. You will learn how to turn on the tool, how to bring files into SOLIDWORKS, how to update files and other information surrounding the tool.
In this webinar, they cover:
- Where you can find this feature to turn it on
- The difference between using 3D Interconnect and importing a file
- How to deal with non-native file updates
- And more!
