Fundamentals for SOLIDWORKS 3D Sketching

By TriMech Marketing on July 16, 2015

Are you new to 3D sketching or looking to speed up your learning curve? This Video Tech Tip covers the fundamentals of SOLIDWORKS 3D sketching with step-by-step instructions.

TriMech Application Engineer, Dave Bazinet, shows you how easy it is to create a 3D sketch by designing the base for a frame weldment. The tutorial starts with Dave demonstrating basic SOLDIWORKS 3D sketching functions like how to sketch lines, change orientation and adjust angles. And he later moves into other forms of dimensioning and controling the X, Y and Z planes versus less efficient, traditional 2D methods.
